Running Blue in a Red State: A Candid Conversation with Democratic Candidate for Governor Cindy Holscher

This Labor Day weekend, I had the privilege of sitting down with Kansas State Senator Cindy Holscher, the Democratic candidate for Governor, to talk about her campaign and the issues shaping the race across the sunflower state. As election season heats up both in Kansas and across the country, a key goal of mine with the Free State Journal has been to cover the races that hit closest to home: the Senate and Governor’s races. I will be the first to admit that Senator Holscher and I don’t always see eye to eye on solutions, but I found we agree on a lot when it comes to identifying the problematic issues facing Kansas. What was most noticeable to me throughout my time with her was the clear sense of purpose she carries through her advocacy on key policies.
